The Gap

Sports below the pros don't need more software.
They need a media department.

Below the pros, almost nobody has an Athletic Communications department. Not schools, not club teams, not tournaments, not small colleges, not the athletes inside them. That's the whole gap — the writing, the graphics, the recruiting visibility, the scores, the brand. Next Play is that department, for every level that never had one.

Without Next Play

  • Coaches, parents, or event managers post when they can
  • Inconsistent, off-brand graphics
  • Stats and highlights get buried after the buzzer
  • Sponsors get a logo, nothing more
  • Athletes miss recruiting exposure
  • Nobody tells the story

With Next Play

  • A dedicated media operation for every school, team, athlete and event.
  • One unified brand on every post
  • Stats and highlights become visible
  • Sponsors get content, activation & ROI reports
  • Every athlete gets recruiting assets
  • Professional storytelling, start to finish

Regional Coverage

Scores, recaps, and standout performances from across the Midwest — not one school, not one state. Kansas today, seven states as we build.

Rankings & Features

Player of the Week, statistical leaders, and long-form athlete stories that travel beyond a single community.

Sponsor Inventory

Advertising that reaches every market we cover — sponsorship that doesn't depend on any one client relationship.

Athlete Discovery

Coverage that surfaces athletes who'd otherwise go unseen — and a direct path into an Athlete+ profile.

Common Questions

Everything you're
probably wondering.

Schools, athletes, clubs, tournaments, colleges, and local partners all come in through different doors. These are the questions we get from all of them.

An outsourced sports media department. Everything a college athletic program gets from its communications staff — written coverage, game-day graphics, social management, recruiting visibility, branding, and reporting — delivered as a service to programs that don't have that staff. It's built and run by a former NCAA Division I Sports Information Director.

Six groups, each with their own version of the service:

  • Schools — the full media department for a high school athletic program
  • Athletes — a professional digital profile for one athlete
  • Teams — the same department, sized to a single club, travel, or AAU team
  • Events — tournaments and showcases covered like a postseason broadcast
  • Colleges — overflow support or full outsourcing for NAIA, JUCO, and DIII
  • Partners — local businesses who fund a program and get their name on all of it

No. We take the work off them. Coaches shouldn't be writing recaps at midnight and no athletic director has time to run six social accounts. You keep every approval — nothing publishes outside the workflow you set. We handle production; you keep control.

Final score graphic within 10 minutes of the final whistle. Written recap within 2 hours. Those are commitments, not goals — and they're in writing. Everything else runs on a published monthly calendar so you always know what's coming and when.

Every division is priced plainly — no tiers to decode and no quote-only pages:

  • Schools — $397/mo, billed annually at $4,764. Every sport included.
  • Athletes — $99 to build, $19.99/mo to keep it current.
  • Teams — $197/mo per team, three-month minimum.
  • Events — $497 single day, $697 weekend, $897 championship.
  • Colleges — $597/mo, three-month minimum.
  • Partners — $7,500/yr as a program's Official Media Partner.

Four specialized add-ons stack onto any program engagement.

Terms match how each buyer actually operates. Schools run annually because a season is the unit that matters and a sponsor commits for the year. Teams and Colleges are a three-month minimum, so a club can cover one season or a college department can bridge a vacancy without signing away a year. Athlete profiles are month to month, cancel any time. Events are priced per event — there's nothing ongoing at all.

Most programs don't pay for this out of the athletic budget. A local business becomes the Official Media Partner of your program — their name goes on the graphics, recaps, and posts we produce all season, and their sponsorship covers the cost. We build the sponsor materials and handle the ROI reporting. You get the department; they get season-long visibility.

Kansas today, with the Midwest next — Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Arkansas. The work is produced remotely, so distance isn't a constraint on coverage. On-site needs like photography and event work are staffed through a local contractor network.
